About The Position

RPA is seeking an Investment Operations Manager to support the execution of acquisitions, financing activities, and ongoing portfolio operations. This role sits at the intersection of investment, accounting, and operations, and requires a highly organized, detail-oriented professional capable of managing multiple workflows across deal execution, insurance coordination, and internal reporting.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in multifamily real estate cross-functional support in the areas of finance, accounting, and operations.
  • Team player and hard-working self-starter who seeks responsibility.
  • Demonstrated ability to build new relationships and manage third parties (general contractors, legal counsel, and government officials and processes).
  • High financial acumen; ability to communicate with capital partners, leadership and executives.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Desire to work in a high growth, entrepreneurial, fast-changing environment
  • Comfort working in an environment that is significantly less structured and more improvisational and free-flowing than a larger firm.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain transaction timelines, milestones, and critical dates
  • Organize and manage due diligence checklists
  • Serve as a central liaison between internal teams, lenders, attorneys, and third parties
  • Review closing statements, prorations, and settlement documents for accuracy
  • Support closing execution, including document coordination and funding logistics
  • Support and help oversee general liability claims
  • Assist in managing the firm’s insurance program, including renewal process and RFP coordination, insurance placement for acquisitions, and ongoing communication with insurance brokers and internal stakeholders
  • Track and coordinate capital expenditure draw requests with operations and lenders
  • Assist with preparation and submission of draw packages (invoices, lien waivers, etc.)
  • Coordinate with the Director of Property Accounting and/or CFO on special projects as needed.
  • Maintain and update debt management platform
  • Support quarterly portfolio reviews and reporting
  • Coordinate broker opinions of value (BOVs) and other valuation inputs as needed
  • Maintain organized and institutional-quality deal files and data rooms
  • Ensure all final executed documents are stored properly
