About the position
The Inventory | Material Handler position at WEG Electric Corp involves maintaining accurate inventory levels, receiving and delivering shipments, and safely transporting materials and equipment throughout the facility. The role requires the use of various equipment such as hand trucks, forklifts, and overhead cranes, and is essential for ensuring efficient inventory management within the company.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory levels using SAP.
- Receive and deliver physical shipments.
- Issue materials for shop production orders.
- Safely operate overhead and jib cranes following pre-op inspection checklists.
- Perform various crane lifts for products across departments.
- Complete necessary QA/Customer documentation.
- Lift and move materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and cranes.
- Identify opportunities for Continuous Improvement in daily work.
- Adhere to ISO 9001 Quality Standards and OSHA/EPA regulations.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 1 year warehouse/manufacturing experience.
- Ability to be certified in overhead and jib crane operation and forklift operation.
- Basic typing and computer skills, with the ability to learn SAP.
