About the position

The Inventory/Material Coordinator at Technifab, Inc. is responsible for managing inventory transactions and material handling duties under the direction of the production supervisor. This role ensures the accurate flow of products to and from various work cells, final inspection, shipping, and stock locations, aligning with the company's objectives for safety, quality, delivery, and cost efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Confirm recorded quantities by physically counting items and close production work orders as they are completed to update inventory for Replenished Components and/or Finished Goods.
  • Process Inventory Transfers accordingly as items are accepted/rejected and moved to and from various departments to maintain accurate and timely inventory location records.
  • Coordinate the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between work cells and departments according to replenishment signals, production and shipping schedules, or department priorities.
  • Generate daily shipping schedule and deliver the correct item and quantity from finished goods inventory to Shipping.
  • Coordinate activities with Quality and Shipping to meet requirements of schedule when necessary.
  • Work closely with the Planner/Scheduler and other department leads on the status of overdue parts and expedite accordingly while communicating status and concerns to appropriate department leaders and/or managers.
  • Process other systems transactions such as scrap tracking.
  • Manage inventory records utilizing cycle counting to maintain inventory accuracy and control.
  • Receive finished goods inventory from Final Inspection and ensure materials are placed in their proper locations with proper identification/WIP tags.
  • Rotate inventory, magnets, and bins as required while maintaining material lot control.
  • Maintain required MRO items and shipping supplies for assigned work area, initiating re-order signals for replenishment.
  • Perform cycle counts to verify the accuracy of inventory as material is stored in bins.
  • Safeguard material during transportation and storage, ensuring it is clean and free of damage.
  • Operate pallet jack and/or forklift to unload, transport, and load parts.
  • Oversee and perform the bailing of scrap material.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and observe all safety rules and procedures.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned in support of overall company objectives.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience working with work order systems.
  • Tow motor experience is desirable.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent - preferred.
  • 1 year of manufacturing experience (Preferred).
  • 1 year of materials handling experience (Preferred).
