The primary function of this position is to safely operate various battery manufacturing or packaging equipment within established productivity and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety standards at all times
  • Operate battery manufacturing equipment efficiently to meet productivity expectations
  • Perform quality checks and record data as required
  • Be a self-starter - demonstrate initiative to identify and apply solutions to remove roadblocks
  • Demonstrate ownership and willingness to continuously improve self and area of accountability
  • Make equipment adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standard
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness and good housekeeping of work areas
  • Recognize continuous improvement opportunities that will enhance safety, quality, organization, and productivity
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Receives MRO, raw, and worked materials including all duties associated with receiving and reporting material receipts
  • Ships worked materials (parts and IP packed batteries) including all duties associated with shipping and reporting material shipments
  • Schedules shipment back to vendors for rejected materials
  • Handles UPS and FedEx
  • Maintains organized inventory storage including cycle counting of materials, maintaining, and correcting records and investigating differences before making necessary inventory adjustments

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of production/manufacturing operations experience
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job including but not limited to lifting, walking, standing, sitting, climbing stairs and ladders
  • Self-motivated with ability to work in a team-oriented environment with limited supervision
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills and abilities
  • Must have the ability to operate a fork truck with a valid license
  • Must have a driver's license
  • Must have a clear understanding of SAP, Word, Excel, Outlook and other computer programs
