About the position

The Inventory Control Coordinator at Hoover Holdings Group Inc. is responsible for managing the flow of materials and assets within the warehouse. This role involves coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, assisting various departments in material handling, and ensuring accurate inventory records through cycle counts and reconciliations. The position also requires safe operation of forklifts and adherence to inventory procedures to maintain optimal material flow and product quality.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and coordinate all assets and materials for inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Assist warehouse workers, purchasing agents, and production departments in obtaining and issuing materials.
  • Follow inventory procedures, including computer entry of inventory planning data and cycle counts.
  • Safely operate and maintain forklifts to assist production and move products throughout the plant and warehouse.
  • Set up and maintain quantities of material, parts, and products in the warehousing system.
  • Adjust material, parts, and products for efficient storage arrangements.
  • Communicate with outside vendors and truck drivers as necessary.
  • Ensure period cycle counts are completed accurately on an agreed schedule.
  • Process and post inventory receipts into the ERP system.
  • Coordinate with the Buyer regarding inbound P.O. discrepancies or cost variances.
  • Research variances between physical stock counts and computerized balances, adjusting stock as needed.
  • Monitor product rotation and ensure product conditions meet sales standards.
  • Perform basic quality inspections as per specifications.
  • Maintain asset inventory spreadsheets and assist in determining asset status for orders and repairs.
  • Write estimates for assets coming in for off-hire from customers.
  • Perform routine maintenance on the forklift and conduct periodic testing of ISO tanks.
  • Work with third-party inspectors and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Two to three years of successful continuous employment in an industrial setting.
  • Working knowledge of inventory systems and Material Process Systems (MPS).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reporting and data management.
  • Ability to read and understand directions, blueprints, procedures, and product labels.
  • Mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as well as familiarity with fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to use a scale to weigh products and materials.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with employees across various departments.
