About the position
Wayfair is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team in a role focused on inventory management. The position requires working from Tuesday to Friday, from 5 PM to 3:30 AM. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of all inventories by performing daily audits and maintaining a comprehensive Cycle Count program. This role involves leading by example and maintaining accurate inventory levels through daily and monthly cycle counts, as well as annual year-end physical inventories. The individual will own the entire life cycle of damaged, misplaced, or missing products, from detection to resolution. Additionally, the role includes tracking and reporting daily to upper management on building capacity, utilization, inventory accuracy, and cycle count progress, utilizing Warehouse Management Software and Excel to manage data effectively. The position also requires operating industrial equipment such as Order Pickers (Cherry Pickers) and Reach Trucks, along with performing additional job duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily audits and maintain a comprehensive Cycle Count program.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels through daily and monthly cycle counts and annual year-end physical inventories.
- Own the entire life cycle of damaged, misplaced, or missing products from detection to resolution.
- Collect bad status items, ticket them, and release them back into inventory once resolved.
- Track and report daily to upper management on building capacity, utilization, inventory accuracy, and cycle count progress.
- Use Warehouse Management Software and Excel to manage cycle count data.
- Operate Order Picker (Cherry Picker), Reach Trucks, and other industrial equipment.
- Perform additional job duties as assigned.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience with cycle counts.
- At least 6 months of cherry picker and reach forklift experience.
- Basic to intermediate computer skills including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to communicate and work well with people of all levels.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Software and data entry.
- Must be able to work on the warehouse floor for 8 hours a day or more.
