Join Casey's Demand Planning team as an Inventory Analyst! The Inventory Analyst is responsible for Casey's Supply Chain Execution, maintaining system parameters and order execution to deliver the store inventory and receipt plans. The Inventory Analyst focuses on Supplier Order Execution and maintaining an adequate store and warehouse In-Stock position, contributing to the optimization of our inventory management process.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet guest demand while minimizing carrying costs.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory data.
  • Analyze demand patterns, market trends, and historical data to forecast future inventory needs.
  • Collaborate with procurement, merchandising, space planning, operations, Distribution Center Management, IT, and logistics teams to streamline supply chain processes.
  • Collaborate with Demand Planners on inventory strategies incorporating demand forecasts as guidance.
  • Identify and address inventory expiration, discrepancies, shortages, or excesses promptly.
  • Escalate to Senior Inventory Analyst for additional guidance as needed.
  • Utilize data analysis tools in Relex to generate reports and provide insights for continuous improvement.
  • In conjunction with Asset Protection team, develop and implement inventory control policies, and procedures.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory turnover and reduce holding costs.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and technological advancements in inventory management.
  • Plan distribution center inventory supply levels to support store sales through purchase order management and leveraging replenishment/allocation tools to optimize inventory flow from multiple vendors.
  • Sku level item life-cycle maintenance to include cost changes, product status, and pack size updates.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis tools.
  • Experience in inventory management or supply chain execution.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory data management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Relex or similar inventory management software.
  • Knowledge of demand forecasting techniques.
  • Familiarity with supply chain processes and best practices.
