About the position

Radiology Partners, Indiana (CIR) is a subspecialty practice that provides services in the Indiana towns of Terre Haute and Clinton. The practice serves Union Health, a 380-bed, level III trauma facility, and Clara Fairbanks Women's Center in Indiana, a Tort Reform state. RP IN-CIR is a boutique sub-specialized, diversified, state-of-the-art private practice. We are currently seeking an Interventional Radiology Physician Assistant who holds CBRPA and ARRT certification. This role involves assisting the attending Radiology team in managing patients at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana. The successful candidate will participate in departmental and hospital programs aimed at quality assessment and improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance services, making recommendations, and implementing actions that align with the goals of Radiology Partners. The position is scheduled from Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM EST, with no call, no weekends, and no major holidays required. Responsibilities include performing or assisting with various procedures such as fluoroscopy procedures, PICC lines, paracentesis/thoracentesis, lumbar punctures, and FNA biopsies. The Physician Assistant will also perform physical examinations, determine medical histories, diagnose and treat illnesses and/or injuries, develop and implement patient management plans, and record progress notes. Additionally, the role involves fielding phone calls from patients, referring physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to identify potential areas of concern in the medical management of patients, as well as educating patients about their medical care and performing other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the attending Radiology team in managing patients at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana.
  • Participate in departmental and hospital programs for quality assessment and improvement.
  • Identify opportunities to improve services and make recommendations.
  • Implement actions consistent with Radiology Partners goals.
  • Perform or assist with fluoroscopy procedures, PICC lines, paracentesis/thoracentesis, lumbar punctures, and FNA biopsies.
  • Perform physical examinations and determine medical histories.
  • Diagnose and treat illnesses and/or injuries.
  • Develop and implement patient management plans and record progress notes.
  • Field phone calls from patients, referring physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding patients.
  • Educate patients on their medical care.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Licensed as a Radiology Physician Assistant in the state of Indiana.
  • Graduate from an AMA accredited program.
  • Certification from the Certification Board for Radiology Practitioner Assistants (CBRPA) and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Critical Care experience is a plus.
  • Certification by the National Commission of Physician Assistants or ANCC.
  • Certified to perform Basic Life Support and ACLS.
