About The Position

The Division of Surgery and the Division of Cancer Medicine at Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center are seeking a fellowship-trained, academically-oriented Interventional Pulmonologist to join their cancer program. This role will be based at the Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville, a 500+ bed tertiary-care facility. The interventional pulmonology program will encompass a lung cancer screening program (over 2000 patients annually), a pulmonary nodule clinic, diagnosis and management of pleural diseases and central airway obstruction, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, lung cancer staging, and support for the stem cell transplantation and cellular therapy program. The position will also involve evaluating and managing patients with cancer-related or therapy-related pulmonary conditions. Experience with simple and complex airway and pleural procedures is expected. Professional growth opportunities and leadership positions are available for experienced physicians. The successful candidate will have completed an ACGME-approved program in Pulmonary Medicine / Critical Care and Interventional Pulmonology, possess or be eligible for an unrestricted Florida Medical License, and demonstrate a commitment to a multidisciplinary integrated model of cancer care. They will fully support the clinical, scholarly, and educational missions of the program, including developing standard protocols, improving quality metrics, and creating scholarly work. The role requires passion, strong communication, interpersonal skills, and collaboration to build an active clinical practice, develop scholarship, and recruit faculty. The position includes a primary appointment in the Division of Surgery, Section of Thoracic Surgery, and a joint appointment in the Division of Cancer Medicine. An adjunct appointment at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center will be recommended based on clinical and academic achievement. Requirements

  • Fellowship-trained in Interventional Pulmonology.
