About the position

The Software Development Intern at ASML will collaborate with software developers and control system engineers to create software solutions based on system and controls requirements. This role emphasizes designing for excellence, focusing on reusability, modularity, simplicity, and maintainability. Interns will engage in the software development lifecycle, including analysis, testing methodologies, and contributing to the build, test, and release processes.

Responsibilities

• Understand the software response to system and controls requirements.
• Develop software based on software requirements.
• Design and create test specification documents.
• Deliver software solutions of the highest quality.

Requirements

• Must be pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a similar discipline.
• Masters or PhD preferred.
• Previous experience in a software development role is a plus.
• Ability to develop code for a distributed control system.
• Experience with programming in C, C++, and Python on different OS environments (VxWorks, INTEGRITY, Linux).

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working in hard and soft real-time domains with complex hardware interfaces and various communication protocols.
• Familiarity with the approved Software Development Process and Program Development Process.
