Internship - CAD & Craft

About the position

The CAD & Craft Internship at Tiffany & Co. offers a unique opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the luxury jewelry industry. This ten-week program, part of the Summer 2025 Class, allows interns to work closely with experienced designers and craftsmen, gaining hands-on experience in jewelry design and prototyping. Interns will learn to transition 3D models into physical jewelry pieces while adhering to Tiffany's high standards of quality and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside experienced Computer Aided Designers on new jewelry projects.
• Develop skills to accurately model jewelry objects and prepare them for casting.
• Learn to design for manufacturing while maintaining design intent throughout collection development.
• Participate in all stages of prototype creation from product release to supplier.
• Assist in building a digital reference library.
• Track project timelines to ensure timely execution of tasks.
• Abide by office and workshop best practices, including health and safety requirements.
• Assist in brainstorming sessions for new jewelry pieces.
• Learn and apply various jewelry-making techniques such as cast cleaning, filing, and polishing.
• Aid in maintaining prototyping equipment like 3D printers and CNC milling machines.
• Participate in quality control and inspection processes to ensure prototypes meet Tiffany's quality expectations.
• Support administrative tasks such as organizing files and maintaining inventory.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a jewelry program with bench and CAD curriculum.
• Knowledge in Rhino software.
• Bench experience.
