About the position

The internship at Highgate Hotels offers a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in the hospitality industry. Interns will work across various departments, including HR, Operations, Revenue, Marketing, and Food & Beverage, while learning about the overall operations of hotel management in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Exposure to the overall operation of Guest Services, Concierge and Uniformed Services, Housekeeping, Laundry, Security, Communications, Reservations.
• Assisting in the operations area in an attentive, friendly, efficient and courteous manner, providing all guests with quality service.
• Effectively handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
• Learning from experienced professionals in the Rooms Management field.

Requirements

• Currently studying for a Bachelor’s degree, Graduate degree or equivalent in Hotel Management or related field.
• High level of attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
• Strong communication skills are required.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving and problem identification.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
