About the position

The Internet Sales Consultant at Honda of North Hollywood is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and facilitating the vehicle buying process for guests. This entry-level position is ideal for motivated individuals looking to start a career in sales, utilizing strong communication skills to identify customer needs and deliver a world-class experience.

Responsibilities

  • Take customers through a thorough buying process supported by established selling steps, policies, and procedures.
  • Respond to all internet leads in a timely manner.
  • Negotiate and close profitable deals via phone, text, or email.
  • Write engaging emails that meet professional and literary standards.
  • Develop and relay a high level of product knowledge around vehicle features.
  • Demonstrate the operation and features of the desired vehicle in the showroom and via test drive.
  • Present the new or pre-owned vehicle to the customer through an established delivery process, ensuring understanding of features, warranty, and paperwork.
  • Maintain an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction, loyalty, and long-term clientele.
  • Develop a prospecting system, making calls and sending emails and text messages to potential customers to set appointments.
  • Set and track personal sales goals on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis.
  • Maintain a positive and ethical working relationship with all employees, manufacturers, lenders, vendors, and customers.
  • Continue to maintain the dealership's value, quality, and integrity.
  • Analyze information and evaluate alternatives to resolve issues and make sound, timely decisions.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Sales and/or customer service experience.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, organizational, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to analyze situations and make win-win business decisions.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and enthusiastic presence.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
  • Professional appearance and strong work ethic.
  • Current, valid driver's license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience in customer service and/or sales, not necessarily in car sales.
  • Creative, positive, team player attitude.
