About the position

The position involves supporting the Operations Supervisor in the international group, with a focus on managing airline rates, reviewing AWB stock, and ensuring compliance with import/export policies. Responsibilities include making reservations, training employees, and maintaining accurate records of shipments and transactions. The role requires effective communication with clients and internal personnel to ensure excellent service execution and client satisfaction. The candidate will also be responsible for processing imports, invoicing, and tracking cargo to ensure proper movement and delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Backup for Operations Supervisor in the international group
  • Update Airline rates in 7L
  • Review AWB stock and request when needed to the airlines
  • Upload the stock in TMF
  • Make reservations for monthly MIA gateway schedule
  • Train employees on Operations duties
  • Make bookings with airline
  • Be responsible at the EOD to ensure all shipments are updated with KPI milestones, DNI, LNR
  • Run FWB - FHL action log
  • Enforce import/export policy and procedure through compliance
  • Maintain AWB airline stock
  • Issue credit for the team
  • Take minutes on weekly operations meeting
  • Need to consolidate cargo to familiar destination
  • Make booking with the A/L and O/L
  • Monitor transactions of any problem or irregularities
  • Send Pre-alert to Stations and Agents
  • Process all imports-Documents, pickup, delivery
  • Invoice and lock files within a timely manner
  • Domestic inbound and outbound documentation-Make entry
  • Print Document for any other station
  • Footprint outbound
  • Audit checks files (4 files per week)
  • Send request to weekend backup for milestone
  • File SED's (Shippers Export Declarations)
  • Track and trace cargo as necessary to insure proper movement and delivery
  • Provide accounting department with proper and correct billing information
  • Communicate with clients regarding disposition of Freight (i.e. tracking & tracing, routing & dispatching, and rate quotations)
  • Communicate & correspond with other Company branches and agents for client satisfaction and ensure excellent service execution
  • Seek the most profitable mode of shipment yet meet client's requirement for the movement of freight
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 5 years related experience
  • Minimum 3 years industry experience preferred
  • Knowledge of the Import/Export industry preferred
  • Strong knowledge of personal computers
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good client service skill and ability to handle dual tasks

Nice-to-haves

  • Professional certification may be required in some areas
