Requirements

  • 1-Year Substitute Authorization
  • 3- Year Substitute Authorization
  • 5- Year Substitute Authorization
  • Within the first year of your employment, you’re required to complete CDE READ Act training or CDE Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CLD) -45 contact hours.
  • Pass a background check.
  • Demonstrate Eligibility to work in the United States.
  • We use E-Verify to confirm the identity and employment eligibility of all new hires.

Responsibilities

  • Implement lesson plans and instructional materials to support strong student learning and engagement.
  • Build safe, structured, and joyful classroom environments through consistent routines, proactive classroom management, and strong relationships.
  • Uphold high academic and behavioral expectations for all students.
  • Support the diverse learning needs of students, including multilingual learners and students with disabilities.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with teachers, school leaders, families, and student support staff.
  • Maintain a positive classroom culture grounded in restorative and relationship-centered practices.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability across grade levels, content areas, and school settings.
