The Internal Medicine Residency Program Director Physician is an Internal Medicine physician passionate about community health and family medicine. Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain a residency program conducive to exceptional clinical learning and professional development.
• Provide continuous supervision, mentoring, and direct teaching of residents.
• Ensure academic excellence and collaboration with marginalized communities.
• Establish the strategic direction of the Internal Medicine Program and maintain its standards, quality, and reputation.
• Support integration of the Internal Medicine Program with physician practices and hospital clinical services.
• Participate in planning and management of health services at United Health Centers.
• Review quality care being rendered at UHC and develop healthcare protocols and procedures.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited university or school with an MD/DO degree.
• Possess a valid CA Medical License.
• Possess a current DEA Certification.
• Valid Lifesaving Certification (BLS, ACLS).
• Valid Driver's License.
• ABIM Board Certified.

Nice-to-haves

• Comprehensive knowledge of ACGME standards and graduate medical education.
• Experience in research and academic medicine.
• Previous leadership roles such as Associate Program Director, Chair of Clinical Competency Committee, or Chair of Quality Improvement Committee.
