About the position
The Physician Assistant position at St. Cloud VA Health Care System involves providing medical services to veterans under the supervision of a physician. This full-time role requires coverage during evenings and weekends, ensuring that patients receive continuous care in a respectful environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide medical services to veterans under the supervision of a physician.
- Cover shifts from 4pm to 8am, including 24-48 hour weekend shifts.
- Maintain comfortable and private on-call accommodations.
Requirements
- Graduate of a Physician Assistant Training Program accredited by ARC-PA or its predecessors.
- Certification as a Physician Assistant by the NCCPA is required.
- At least 24 months of experience as a Physician Assistant within the last 36 months.
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon start.
- Active Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification upon start.
