About The Position

Tindall Corporation, a leading Precast Concrete Manufacturer in the Southeastern U.S., is seeking an Intern for Industrial Engineering. This role is designed to improve production processes, making Tindall more efficient and cost-effective. The intern will either develop and implement solo projects or support existing projects led by full-time industrial engineers. The experience gained will help cultivate skills necessary for a full-time industrial engineering role after graduation. All employees are required to follow safety and quality rules to ensure a safe working environment and high-quality products.

Requirements

Must be pursuing a degree in industrial engineering (or related field) in an ABET-accredited program.
Must have completed coursework studying or have practical experience with work measurement.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual skills in English and Spanish preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Complete orientation and training programs, including time in production, QC, field, and support operations.
Complete IE technical training, including process analysis, work design, work measurement, work standards, work plans, routings, and labor performance reporting.
Design solutions for process improvement based on collected or supplied data.
Lead process improvement initiatives in the production facility.
Initiate projects to address inefficiencies observed in the production facility.
Collect and analyze data to support creative solutions.
Report project progress and results to management, including the senior leadership team.
Develop strong working relationships with employees in all production departments.
Create automated data reporting tools to keep management informed on production performance.
Develop and implement a final process improvement project, including the presentation of findings, recommendations, and results to senior management.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
