About The Position
The Industrial Engineering Intern will support process improvement, efficiency analysis, and operational optimization efforts. This role provides hands-on experience in applying engineering principles to real-world business operations, focusing on productivity, cost reduction, and workflow optimization.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical engineering or related field
Nice To Haves
- Lean principles (waste reduction, 5S, continuous improvement)
- Six Sigma basics (DMAIC concepts)
- Time studies and productivity analysis (even classroom exposure is fine)
- Understanding of workflow optimization
Responsibilities
- Analyze current processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies
- Assist in time studies, data collection, and performance analysis
- Support continuous improvement projects (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen)
- Develop process maps, standard operating procedures, and reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, supply chain, quality)
- Use data to recommend actionable improvements
- Participating in project meetings and present findings
