About the position

MidAmerican Energy Company is seeking motivated high school students to participate in our dynamic internship experience. Interns will be exposed to a variety of projects and activities that occur within the energy industry. Interns will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills learned throughout high school and apply them in the workplace. Take the next step and apply now!

Responsibilities

• Go beyond the basics with numbers and work closely with our teams to understand department budgets, while learning how to input data correctly and efficiently.
• Work with us behind-the-scenes and help plan and execute on various projects.
• Collaborate with us and understand how to work within a professional team dynamic.
• Support our customers and co-workers by compiling, processing and evaluating information.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age and currently earning high school credit.
• Have some computer skills in Microsoft Office such as Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Ability to self-manage, prioritize multiple tasks and complete projects within deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to receive constructive feedback with a growth mindset.
