About the position

BHE Pipeline Group has an exciting career opportunity available for college students currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree or graduate program in an engineering discipline from an accredited university. This position involves performing simple to moderately complex system planning analysis and cost estimating under the direction of a facility planner or manager. The role includes supporting the company's employee policies and procedures, including workplace safety rules, and requires passing a post-offer drug screen along with having a valid driver's license and a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform simple to moderately complex system planning analysis and cost estimating under the direction of a facility planner or manager.
• Conduct supply system outage analysis and define system constraints to determine throughput maximization for optimizing system performance.
• Research and identify new and alternative technologies to promote safe, reliable, and efficient pipeline operations.
• Develop and maintain pipeline models to support overall throughput activities under the guidance of a facility planner or manager.
• Research and participate in the evaluation of Northern's transmission system constraints or expansions.
• Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree or graduate program in an engineering discipline from an accredited university.
• Knowledge of engineering principles and practices for analysis.
• Ability to prepare clear, concise, and complete written reports.
• Self-motivation and initiative to recognize, analyze, and recommend alternative solutions to problems and issues.
• Proficiency with personal computers and various software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, etc.).
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
• Must pass a post-offer drug screen and possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
