About the position

The Electrical Engineering System Test & Analysis Intern position at General Atomics offers undergraduate students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the Aircraft Systems team. The role involves assisting in various tasks related to electrical engineering, including problem analysis, report development, and adherence to safety regulations. This internship is designed for students who are actively enrolled in a recognized college or university and are looking to apply their academic knowledge in a practical setting.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the day-to-day activities of the assigned functional area under general supervision.
• Assists in applying knowledge to analyze, investigate, and resolve problems.
• Helps in developing electronic and hard copy reports, records, diagrams, and charts.
• Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations during business operations.
• Expected to work safely in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Requirements

• Active enrollment as an undergraduate student at a recognized college or university.
• Completion of undergraduate degree by the time the internship begins, with plans to continue in a graduate program immediately after the internship.
• 3.0 cumulative GPA preferred.
• Ability to understand new concepts and apply them accurately.
• Ability to follow general and detailed instructions as well as organizational policies and procedures.
• Basic communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with internal professionals.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Basic computer skills.

Benefits

• Hourly pay rate of $29.00 - $31.00/hr., depending on field of study and college years completed.
