About The Position

Student Exploration and Experience Development (SEED) is a 12-week internship opportunity at Veolia for students to gain hands-on experience in sustainability and ecological transformation. They will work on real-world projects, receive mentorship from industry professionals, and participate in workshops and networking events. The program aims to nurture talent, promote innovation, and foster meaningful connections between students and industry professionals. Overall, the SEED program provides students with the skills, knowledge, and connections needed to make a positive impact in the industry. Program Dates: June 1, 2026 to August 21, 2026. Position Purpose: Gain hands-on experience in business analysis by documenting functional requirements for Finance applications and addressing documentation gaps within the Finance IT portfolio. Develop foundational knowledge of Accounting and Finance principles while learning to collaborate effectively with cross-functional IT teams and Finance stakeholders. Build practical skills in requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder communication under the guidance of experienced Business Analysts.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED is required.
  • Working towards a four year degree and you have Senior status in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related major.
  • 3.2 Cumulative G.P.A required.
  • Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, listening, presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in gathering and documenting functional requirements by shadowing senior analysts during stakeholder meetings and accurately capturing business needs for Finance applications.
  • Create and update documentation including process flows, functional specifications, and user guides to address gaps and improve clarity within the Finance IT portfolio.
  • Conduct research and analysis on Finance applications, existing processes, and documentation to identify areas needing improvement, clarification, or standardization.
  • Learn Finance and Accounting fundamentals by studying existing documentation, attending training sessions, and asking questions to build domain knowledge necessary for effective business analysis.
  • Participate in requirement review sessions by presenting documentation drafts, incorporating feedback, and ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations.
  • Shadow and learn from experienced Business Analysts to understand best practices in requirement gathering, stakeholder management, documentation techniques, and professional communication.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration by attending meetings, taking notes, and facilitating communication between Finance and IT teams.
