The Intern, QTS Summer Internship Program role offers a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in various core areas of the business. Interns will be assigned to specific teams, including Development, Capital Strategy, Strategic Finance & Capital Markets, Technology, People Services, Facilities Engineering, and Procurement, where they will support ongoing projects and initiatives. Each intern will have the chance to contribute to real-world projects, enhancing their skills and understanding of the industry while working alongside experienced professionals. For the Development Project Intern, responsibilities include assisting the Development team with core projects, overseeing construction processes, managing budgets, and updating project statuses for director-level reviews. Interns will also support entitlement and permitting needs, develop scopes of work, and monitor project budgets, ensuring that all aspects of the projects are on track. The Capital Strategy Intern will collaborate with various teams to support strategic capital initiatives, maintain cost projections for construction projects, and develop new processes to improve capital project management. This role is crucial for understanding the financial aspects of development and the importance of strategic planning in capital projects. Interns in Strategic Finance & Capital Markets will prepare reporting dashboards for senior leadership, assist in maintaining long-term financial models, and support capital markets initiatives. This position provides insight into the financial operations of a large organization and the importance of data analysis in decision-making. Technology Interns will assist with day-to-day activities, maintain budgets and schedules, and develop scopes of work for technology projects. They will also work on data interpretation and reporting, gaining valuable experience in technology management within a critical infrastructure environment. People Services Interns will support HR functions, including onboarding new employees, maintaining records, and participating in employee engagement activities. This role is essential for understanding the human resources aspect of a growing company. Facilities Engineering Interns will assist with engineering projects related to data center operations, supporting design and commissioning activities, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards. This position is vital for those interested in the technical aspects of data center management. Procurement Interns will help with purchase orders, supplier evaluations, and inventory tracking, providing a comprehensive view of the procurement process within a large organization.
