About the position
This position will provide a full-time Educational Aide for Pleasant Grove Independent School District. The aide is presently employed in the above described position. Pay scale and classification will not be less than the minimum compensation plan for Pleasant Grove Independent School District. The aide will be under the direction of building principals and the Superintendent of Schools.
Responsibilities
- Serve as instructional aide.
- Assist teacher in the instructional process.
- Work with the administration and carry out such duties and responsibilities as policies would demand in relation to students, teachers, school administrators, and the public.
- Carry out such duties and responsibilities as clerical operations; maintaining records; operating copy machines; and other similar tasks.
- Participate in staff development as assigned.
- Respect the confidence of instructional personnel and the administration.
- Assist the teacher in instructional media preparation and usage.
- Assist the teacher in preparing classroom materials to be sent home with students.
- Grade papers, record grades, and file papers.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- High school graduate or hold a GED certificate.
- Two years of experience as an Educational Aide, or a minimum of 15 semester hours of college credit with some emphasis on child growth and development or similar background, or demonstrated proficiency in a specialized skill area as determined by the local school district.
- Experience related to working with students or parents as approved by the employing Superintendent.
- Recommended by the employing Superintendent.
