About the position

The Quality Control Inspector at Interjet West is responsible for ensuring compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and overseeing the Quality Control/Assurance processes. This role involves supervising personnel, performing audits, maintaining inspection records, and acting as a liaison with the FAA. The inspector will also monitor maintenance personnel training, manage calibrated tooling, and ensure the airworthiness of incoming materials.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with FAR's through oversight of Quality Control/Assurance processes.
  • Assist, supervise, and direct personnel in the Quality Control Department.
  • Ensure all inspections are performed and records are completed before aircraft return to service.
  • Perform audits and maintain logs for contract maintenance vendors.
  • Review the Company's Aircraft Maintenance Program as needed.
  • Act as a liaison to the FAA regarding regulatory matters.
  • Monitor and ensure documented training for maintenance personnel.
  • Maintain Hazardous Material Policy for Part 135 operators.
  • Ensure proper execution of maintenance releases.
  • Guide acceptance of incoming materials and airworthiness of articles from vendors.
  • Monitor company procedures for compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Keep Technical Data current and obtain subscriptions.
  • Act as backup for Scrap Parts and Shelf Life Procedures compliance.
  • Provide feedback to the Accountable Manager regarding process improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in aviation sciences, quality systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of technical experience within Part 135, 125, 121, or 145 repair station.
  • Familiarity with guidance materials under Part 43.
  • Airframe and Power Plant license with Inspector Authorization.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of FAA paperwork procedures including FAR's and relevant forms.
  • Knowledge of inspection and certification processes and various aircraft.
  • Thorough understanding of quality policies and technical data.
  • Ability to work with various software applications.
  • Valid driver's license and passport required.
  • Ability to pass background and airport screenings.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds and frequent lifting of 25 pounds.
