Join us and design your place with Stantec. The primary role of the Interior Designer Co-Op will be to work with Interior Designers on project work. Our Interior Designers are expected to work collaboratively with the architectural team, conceptualizing, developing, and documenting varying aspects of interior design of a project, including but not limited to space planning, interior architecture, interior materials and palette, specifications and FFE.

Responsibilities

  • Incorporate mark-ups/red lines on documents for Interior Designers and Architects.
  • Prepare presentation and finish boards.
  • Order architecture/interior samples.
  • Assist Resource Coordinator including:
  • File product samples and literature
  • Coordinate, attend informal and luncheon product presentations
  • Compose new product displays
  • Contact manufacturers to obtain updated materials
  • Attend product update meetings with manufacturer's product specialists
  • Assist product specialists with yearly maintenance of extensive sampling collections
  • Edit, re-organize extensive materials collections in collaboration with Resource Coordinator and senior designers
  • Tend to various administrative tasks related to Resource Center operations and project filing/ archiving

Requirements

  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office Applications, Adobe CS Applications & Revit.
  • Must be organized, self-motivated, able to meet deadlines, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently but within a team environment, multi-task, and adapt to change in a very dynamic environment.
  • Possess a 'can do' and 'will do' attitude while taking charge of any assignment given.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Candidate must be a current college student majoring in Interior Design with minimum experience.
