About the position

The Account Executive role at Auctane focuses on driving revenue growth by managing relationships with large shipping clients and ensuring business retention and expansion within a defined territory. This position requires collaboration with various internal teams and external partners to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs and enhance their shipping capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Increase customer base in assigned territory.
  • Outbound prospecting.
  • Develop lead sources and channel partnerships.
  • Partner with Solutions Engineer to develop complex solutions.
  • Effectively position Auctane's suite of products and differentiate competitively.
  • Grow an assigned book of business.
  • Annually increase portfolio revenue through cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
  • Prepare strategic plans for top customers annually.
  • Introduce upgrades and new features where applicable.
  • Limit managed account churn.
  • Develop multi-layered solutions within accounts.
  • Leverage field presence to add value on-site.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success counterpart.
  • Build strong internal and external customer relationships.
  • Develop a network of champions at prospects and customers.
  • Lead the development and success of our customers, referencing their business goals and knowing how to accurately align with them.
  • Effectively negotiate issues that may arise.
  • Be an industry expert and advocate.
  • Be a product expert and communicate the value in new products/features to assigned accounts.
  • Advise customers on industry news, innovations, trends, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bilingual (Proficient in English and Spanish).
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years field sales experience required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years relationship management experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven negotiation and closing skills.
  • Strong customer relationship management skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking.

  • Proven success and industry experience in a combination of carrier, logistics, and e-commerce technology.
