About the position

The Intake Coordinator Assistant coordinates and completes the intake process of new clients, providing compassionate, client-centered care to an underprivileged population. This role is vital in ensuring equitable access to treatment and support for individuals struggling with opioid use disorder (OUD) and other substance use disorders. The position involves scheduling assessments, educating clients on policies, maintaining accurate records, and engaging in community outreach.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule potential patients for an ASAM Biopsychosocial Assessment.
  • Educate clients on RFS and funder policies.
  • Coordinate intake procedures by scheduling evaluations and gathering relevant data.
  • Maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance with waiting list regulations.
  • Participate in staff meetings and quality improvement committees.
  • Work with the Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Committee.
  • Establish and maintain referral relationships with external agencies.
  • Engage in community outreach and events.
  • Provide culturally competent and trauma-informed care.
  • Support clients in navigating government assistance programs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Spanish/English Bilingual preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-year formal SA education from an accredited school.
  • Seeking to obtain certification (IAODAPCA) CADC or CARS.
  • Certified in Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (CADC).
