About the position

The Insurance Sales Associate at Advantage Group is a full-time, commission-based role focused on business development in the voluntary benefits sector. The position involves finding new customers, promoting, and selling worksite voluntary group benefit insurance plans. The associate will work closely with local business owners to deliver tailored insurance solutions, aiming to build long-term relationships and drive revenue growth in Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business opportunities through centers of influence, networking, referrals, and calls.
  • Conduct meetings with business owners to design benefit plans that meet their employees' needs.
  • Educate and enroll interested employees directly into worksite plans.
  • Service existing employers and employees through ongoing consultations.

Requirements

  • Valid Wisconsin Accident/Health and Life Insurance License
  • Proven working experience as an Insurance agent or relevant experience
  • Familiarity with voluntary worksite insurance benefit plans (accident/health, life, critical illness, long term disability, short term disability)
  • Minimum of 1 year sales or customer service experience preferred
  • Proven ability to work with goals
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, influence and sell effectively
  • Basic computer knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
