About the position

The Insurance Sales Associate position at Advantage Group is designed for motivated individuals who are eager to engage in business development activities within the voluntary benefits sector. This role focuses on promoting and selling worksite voluntary group benefit insurance plans, while building long-term relationships with local business owners and their employees. The position offers a commission-based compensation structure, allowing associates to operate independently and maximize their earnings through performance-driven incentives.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business opportunities through centers of influence, networking, referrals, and calls.
• Conduct meetings with business owners to design benefit plans that meet their employees' needs.
• Educate and enroll interested employees directly into worksite plans.
• Service existing employers and employees through ongoing consultations.

Requirements

• Proven working experience as an Insurance agent or relevant experience.
• Valid Wisconsin Health and Life insurance license required if hired.
• Familiarity with voluntary worksite insurance benefit plans (accident/health, life, critical illness, long term disability, short term disability).
• Minimum of 1 year sales or customer service experience preferred.
• Proven ability to work with goals.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, influence and sell effectively.
• Must perform well in a high-energy, dynamic work environment.
• Basic computer knowledge, proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
