About the position
The Instrument Controls Coordinator is responsible for providing subject matter expertise in safety, health, and environmental requirements (SSHE) to maintenance teams. This role involves supporting complex troubleshooting, participating in maintenance design reviews, and assisting engineering for routine maintenance and project support. The coordinator must effectively communicate and interact with diverse groups within the organization, demonstrating strong maintenance skills in instrumentation and control systems.
Responsibilities
- Implements maintenance design philosophies including project specifications for instrumentation and control (I&C).
- Provides technical support and coordination of risk assessments, incident investigations, and conceptual and pre-Front End Engineering Design (FEED) studies.
- Supports coordination of cost management and productivity improvement plans.
- Assists operating teams in troubleshooting complex issues and provides operations assistance during peak loads.
- Provides technical support and input to training development and delivery.
- Shares best practices and provides feedback for enhancement.
- May participate in company networks.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a closely related position.
- Discipline appropriate certification(s) or equivalent professional experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs.
- Effective communication skills; ability to clearly and concisely describe conditions in the field and recommend remediation steps.
