About the position

The Instrumentation and Controls Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective maintenance and operation of instrumentation and control systems within the oilfield sector. This position requires a strong understanding of safety, health, and environmental requirements, as well as the ability to provide technical expertise and support to maintenance teams. The coordinator will be involved in troubleshooting complex issues, supporting engineering efforts, and sharing best practices across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Implements maintenance design philosophies including project specifications for instrumentation and controls (I&C).
• Provides technical support and coordination of risk assessments, incident investigations, and conceptual and pre-Front End Engineering Design (FEED) studies.
• Supports coordination of cost management and productivity improvement plans.
• Assists operating teams in troubleshooting complex issues and provides operations assistance during peak loads.
• Provides technical support and input to training development and delivery.
• Shares best practices and provides feedback for enhancement.
• May participate in company networks.
• Develops strong personal expertise and shares knowledge with others via networking.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a closely related position.
• Discipline appropriate certification(s) or equivalent professional experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs.
• Effective communication skills; ability to clearly and concisely describe conditions in the field and recommend remediation steps.
• Team player; exhibits effective teamwork when working with persons over whom the person may have no direct authority.
