Registered Nursing Faculty at Bethune-Cookman University are directly responsible to the Assistant Dean of the School of Nursing. They assist the Assistant Dean and the School of Nursing in the implementation of program and student learning outcomes. Faculty assist in the development, revision, and implantation of curricula, which is grounded in an evidenced based practice model. Faculty provide classroom teaching, supervise students in the laboratory and clinical settings, and administer standardized testing. Faculty persons also provide advisement to students, as well as mentorship throughout the matriculation process. Faculty are required to have knowledge of the unit, to be an integral member of the Nurse Faculty Committee, and to serve and/or chair School of Nursing standing committees. Faculty are also expected to maintain currency in their respective areas of teaching responsibility, as well as clinically competent.
