About The Position

Works under direct supervision of program management to provide functional skills training and personal care to disabled customers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must possess a valid CDL and clean driving record.
• Must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated, or willing to get vaccinated.
• Is punctual and dependable.
• Provides excellent internal and external customer service.
• Has strong interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to work collaboratively.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must demonstrate respect and sensitivity to diversity.
• Must possess general knowledge of developmental and physical disabilities.
• Must possess knowledge of individual/group instruction techniques.
• Must possess knowledge of behavioral and medical knowledge associated with given disabilities such as seizure activity.
• Must possess knowledge of practice of correct lifting, positioning and transferring techniques.
• Must possess knowledge of behavior modification techniques.
• Must possess knowledge of documentation procedures.
• Must have ability to remain calm in high stress situations.

• Experience working in day or residential programs serving persons with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide functional skills training to disabled customers.
• Provide personal care to disabled customers.
• Test weekly for COVID-19 until fully vaccinated if not vaccinated.
• Work in an ethical and professional manner.
• Respond well to supervision.
• Work collaboratively.
• Work independently.
• Demonstrate respect and sensitivity to diversity.
• Maintain First Aid/CPR certificates.
• Meet California Community Care Licensing personnel standards.
