About the position
The Installer Service Specialist is a technical parts specialist responsible for servicing the needs of professional customers through the store's installer counter. This role involves overseeing daily activities related to order deliveries, ensuring accurate and timely service, and maintaining delivery vehicles. The position emphasizes building sales relationships with installers and professional customers, while also managing various operational tasks to support customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Develop sales relationships with installers and professional customers.
- Take customer orders over the phone and online accurately and quickly.
- Invoice customer orders and ensure accurate picking and staging of parts for delivery.
- Route delivery specialists to ensure timely order deliveries.
- Service and maintain delivery vehicles according to company standards.
- Complete vehicle inspections on time and enter daily mileages into management devices.
- Collaborate with Sales Specialists and Territory Sales Managers to provide superior service.
- Verify all products and merchandise are billed before customers leave the store.
- Ensure timely pickup and crediting of core and warranty returns.
- Audit customer returns for warranty abuse and ensure proper tagging and labeling.
- Assist on the front counter and retail counter as needed.
- Help with backroom duties such as auto-load, returns, and stock.
- Process customer labor claims quickly and efficiently.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Strong background in mechanics.
- Above average communication skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Hands-on knowledge of automotive repairs.
- ASE Certification.
- Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish.
