Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a talented Inspector 3 to join our team in Salt Lake City, Utah!

Responsibilities

  • The Inspector uses predetermined methods, operations, setups and prescribed specifications to inspect visually and completed products such as electronic units and subsystems, precision electromechanical assemblies or mechanical units, subassemblies, structural flaws, internal defects, and missing welds.
  • Uses various measuring devices as described in the Assembly Instruction.
  • Inspector will utilize released build documentation to make good part/bad part decisions.
  • Inspector will utilize drawings, part list, Assembly Instructions, Standard Shop Practices, dial indicators, micrometers, scales and other tools as defined by the work instruction.
  • Inspector will utilize SAP (Standards, Applications and Process) daily to interface with production hardware.
  • Inspector will review contracts and shipping paperwork for accuracy.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Must be able to work occasional overtime or weekend support as required.
  • US Citizenship Required and must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • J-STD Training or experience.
  • IPC-A-610/620 Training or experience.
  • Torque Training or experience.
  • Experience working in an ESD (electrostatic discharge) environment.
  • PPE experience.
  • SAP experience.
  • Experience with decision making process.
  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • AS9100 or ISO 9001 experience.
