The Inside Technical Sales Representative serves as a key point of contact for customers, providing technical support related to products, parts, and order accuracy. This role focuses on assisting customers in identifying correct part numbers, answering technical questions, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction through clear communication and strong attention to detail. Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong aptitude with numbers.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Engineering, Purchasing, Shipping, and AR.

  • Previous experience in customer service or procurement is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Create replacement part quote estimates for customers using Syteline
  • Enter and process customer orders in Syteline based on received purchase orders.
  • Confirm order receipt and communicate ship dates to customers via email.
  • Identify orders ready to ship and request freight quotes for high-cost shipments.
  • Enter shipping charges and process orders through the shipping system to generate packing slips; provide documentation to the Shipping team.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding order status, delivery dates, invoices, and defective parts.
  • Process credit card transactions through UBC CyberSource and distribute paid invoices and transaction receipts to Accounts Receivable (AR) and customers.
  • Create and manage Return Material Authorizations (RMAs) for incorrect or defective parts, including processing returns and determining disposition.
  • Prepare commercial invoices for international shipments and submit them to Shipping.
  • Generate pro forma invoices for customers requesting wire transfer payments.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing to expedite parts when requested by customers.
  • Assist Accounts Receivable with past-due collections and notify customers when accounts are placed on credit hold.
  • Support customers in identifying correct part numbers and resolving technical part-related issues.
  • Interface with Engineering to create part kits or assemblies as needed.
  • Demonstrate strong numerical aptitude, including calculating selling prices when required.
  • Assist other areas of the Filler Machine group as needed.
  • Participate in inventory cycle counts and related inventory activities.
