About the position

The Inside Sales Representative at Sika is responsible for developing relationships with new and existing customers through proactive outreach. This role involves collaborating with architects, consultants, and building owners to identify project opportunities and recommend suitable products. The representative will work closely with field sales teams to manage and track projects, aiming to exceed specific sales objectives derived from leads. The position emphasizes a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, contributing to Sika's mission of enhancing the built environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with new and existing customers through outbound efforts.
  • Work closely with architects, consultants, and building owners to assess project opportunities and determine appropriate product offerings.
  • Develop sales opportunities in specified markets and collaborate with field sales counterparts to manage and track projects to conclusion.
  • Be jointly accountable to exceed specific, quantifiable objectives related to sales from leads developed for the field.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of Inside Sales experience (not required - Willing to Train!)
  • Prior experience in the construction, building materials, or roofing industries is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, collaboration, and influencing skills.
  • Knowledge of Windows Applications (Microsoft Word, Excel).
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or similar CRM technology.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task.
  • Good project management skills.
