About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated Inpatient Pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical care in a hospital setting. This role involves ensuring safe and effective medication use, collaborating with healthcare teams, and supporting patient care through accurate dispensing and clinical oversight.
Requirements
- Active Pharmacist license in the state of Texas (or eligibility)
- Ability to work independently during night shifts
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Flexibility to transition between night and day shifts as required
Nice To Haves
- Previous inpatient/hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of clinical pharmacology and medication safety practices
Responsibilities
- Review and verify medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and safety
- Prepare and dispense medications in accordance with hospital protocols
- Monitor patient medication therapy and provide clinical recommendations
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff to optimize patient outcomes
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies
- Maintain accurate documentation of medication orders and interventions
- Provide drug information and education to healthcare staff as needed
- Participate in quality assurance and medication safety initiatives
