Requirements

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must understand upstream operations, downstream operations, and be able to perform each essential duty within the department satisfactorily.
  • The ability to be discreet with company confidential information, reports errors, incidents, and problems to appropriate personnel.
  • Must have computer skills in Microsoft Office, (Proficient in Word and Excel) and an understanding of the current data collection system.
  • Must be able to help troubleshoot equipment and provide feedback to department supervisor and maintenance personnel.
  • Must take initiative, be resourceful, and willing to accept responsibility and accountability.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Must be able to multitask.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on knowledge of process and S.M.E.D. training is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Look ahead on the Print Schedule to be sure that adequate ink is available to produce the job.
  • Be able to understand color matching on UV, LED, and rotary screen inks.
  • Must be able to work closely with management, sales, and customer during approvals.
  • Stage ink to the proper staging area and return ink back into inventory.
  • Work off all inks to keep our monthly ink inventory at an acceptable level.
  • Assists press operators in changeovers as needed.
  • Be sure that all ink buckets are marked with the correct information. All formulas must be after the last change. All volumes must be recorded accurately.
  • Reports equipment breakdown to supervisor & maintenance personnel.
  • Understands and supports all policies, procedures, instructions, rules, and regulations (including safety) associated with the Press Department.
  • Consults with department manager and Quality Assurance of any quality related defects.
  • Assist in investigating root cause analysis & corrective actions for departmental needs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Responsible for complete & accurate information on all documentation.
  • Must keep work areas clean and organized.
  • Consults with the Press Hall Manager/Supervisor on job priorities.
  • All duties assigned to maximize efficiency of the Press equipment.
  • Identify and help implement process improvements and increased productivity opportunities.
