About the position
The Ingredient Prep position at Chairmans Foods involves preparing raw materials and ingredients for production, ensuring accuracy in measurements and compliance with safety and food manufacturing regulations. The role is essential for maintaining the quality and safety of food products, with a focus on teamwork and adherence to company standards.
Responsibilities
- Select/pull necessary ingredients/materials per MO using pallet jack
- Accurately weigh and measure ingredients/materials using metric measures or balance scales
- Set-up, operate equipment that mixes/blends ingredients
- Dump/pour specified amounts of ingredients/materials into kettle
- Monitor gauges, thermometers, switches to determine proper mixing/blending temperatures
- Clean and sterilize mixing/blending equipment
- Assist others on production line when necessary
- Record production data as needed to track and monitor ingredients/materials used for production
- Ensure food safety standards with regards to GMP's and HAACP plan are followed at all times
- Maintain a neat and clean work area at all times
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience in food production strongly preferred
- Previous production/manufacturing experience
