About the position

The Antitrust Division is seeking an IT Specialist (Network) to provide senior-level leadership and expertise in network services, ensuring the reliability and accessibility of systems that support the Division's mission to promote competition and protect economic freedom. This role involves managing complex IT programs, developing policies, and advising on technical architectures, all while contributing to matters of national importance.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior level leadership and oversight for network services and functions.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for network services and systems.
• Oversee configuration, testing, and quality assurance of network systems.
• Lead and manage major IT program segments and projects.
• Install, test, maintain, and upgrade network hardware and software.
• Establish procedures and policies for budgeting and procurement related to networking services.
• Advise on DOJ technical architectures and standards for software and hardware.
• Lead programs and project teams in advanced IT systems and software projects.
• Provide expert technical advice on planning, designing, and maintaining network systems.
• Prepare and present briefings on complex network issues to senior management.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must undergo a pre-employment security investigation.
• Must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level.
• Experience analyzing and evaluating network services and functions.
• Expertise in providing guidance on complex network services and systems.
• Experience leading the development and maintenance of IT networks and associated programs.
• Knowledge of project management principles and methods.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with automated litigation support systems.
• Familiarity with management information systems and office automation systems.
