About the position
The City of Schenectady is seeking a qualified candidate for a Provisional opening for an Information Processing Specialist III Position in the Law Department. The annual salary for this position is $40,030. Applicants must become residents of the City of Schenectady and maintain residency throughout their employment. This position may be subject to a background check for any convictions deemed related to its duties and responsibilities. Convictions will be considered but will not automatically disqualify the candidate. No background check will occur until after a conditional offer of employment has been made. Any revocation of an offer of employment due to criminal history will include a clear explanation and instructions for appeal. Employment may also be subject to pre-employment drug testing.
Requirements
- Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State college with an Associate's degree and one year of experience in the operation of information processing equipment
- Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and three years of experience in the operation of information processing equipment
- An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above
