About The Position

Saronic Technologies is seeking a mid-level Information Architect to support the Mission Training team. This role involves organizing, structuring, and clarifying complex technical content for instructional design projects. The goal is to enhance the usability, comprehension, and operational performance of training programs by improving how system information is organized, visualized, and delivered. The Information Architect will collaborate with instructional designers and subject matter experts to transform engineering-heavy content into clear, task-aligned learning structures that contribute to mission readiness.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of experience in information architecture, instructional design, technical writing, UX, or related field.
  • Strong ability to organize and structure complex technical information.
  • Experience supporting instructional design projects or learning programs.
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles and performance-based training.
  • Proficiency with diagramming or visual modeling tools (Lucidchart, Miro, Visio, Figma, etc.).
  • Requires access to export-controlled information or items that require “U.S. Person” status.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with technical SMEs in engineering, defense, aerospace, maritime, or related industries.
  • Experience with LMS platforms and digital learning tools.
  • Experience in DoD or defense-adjacent environments.
  • Background in UX, human factors, or systems engineering.
  • Experience supporting simulation-based or technical systems training.

Responsibilities

  • Organize complex system information into clear, logical learning pathways.
  • Develop content outlines, structural templates, and standardized naming conventions.
  • Create and maintain content hierarchies for training modules, system documentation, and performance support materials.
  • Support version control and content updates as systems evolve.
  • Develop taxonomies, content models, and metadata frameworks for training assets.
  • Standardize naming conventions, content hierarchies, and structural templates across instructional projects.
  • Establish standards for organizing and versioning training materials as products evolve.
  • Ensure alignment between documentation, training materials, and system updates.
  • Partner with instructional designers to align content structure with learning objectives and performance outcomes.
  • Break down technical concepts into digestible, learner-centered formats.
  • Sequence content to support scenario-based and performance-based training.
  • Ensure consistency across training materials and modules.
  • Develop diagrams, workflows, process maps, and system overviews to clarify relationships and dependencies.
  • Support the design of UI simulations and backend system representations for training.
  • Improve visual clarity and reduce cognitive overload in training materials.
  • Support the organization and discoverability of content within the LMS.
  • Assist in tagging, categorizing, and structuring digital learning assets.
  • Help ensure training materials remain aligned with system documentation and updates.
  • Gather feedback on content usability and clarity.
  • Identify structural gaps or redundancies in training materials to support operational tempo and mission readiness.
  • Recommend improvements to streamline information flow and learner experience.
