About the position

The Scientist position at A-Team Solutions focuses on inflammatory and vascular diseases, requiring extensive expertise in innate immunology and hereditary autoinflammatory diseases. The role involves conducting advanced research, applying various molecular biology techniques, and leading innovative studies within the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK). The candidate will be responsible for developing in vitro assays, analyzing biological data, and contributing to scientific literature and conferences.

Responsibilities

  • Tissue processing and purification of immune cells, alongside the development of in vitro cell-based bioassays.
  • Establishing induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) models and co-culture systems to study vascular function.
  • Implementing basic and advanced molecular biology techniques, including cloning and viral transductions.
  • Analyzing biological data utilizing software platforms including FlowJo, Microsoft Excel, and GraphPad Prism.
  • Interpreting, analyzing, and presenting data in a dynamic research environment.
  • Contributing to project advancement by developing new methods or technologies.
  • Writing detailed protocols and study reports, maintaining accurate records.
  • Preparing manuscripts for journal publications related to exosomes and microRNAs.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree with over 15 years of specialized experience in immunology or inflammation research.
  • Expertise in the isolation and characterization of extracellular vesicles.
  • Mastery in cellular culture techniques, particularly with human cells.
  • Proficiency in advanced molecular biology techniques, including microRNA analysis and western blotting.
  • In-depth knowledge of microRNA biology and its roles in cellular signaling pathways.
  • Hands-on experience with animal models in autoimmune and inflammatory disease research.
  • Comprehensive knowledge in exosome research, including purification and characterization.
  • Proficiency in data analysis using software platforms such as Excel and GraphPad Prism.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) technology.
  • Familiarity with various operating systems including Microsoft and Mac.
  • Strong foundation in proteomics for detailed protein expression analyses.
