Responsibilities

• Develop and implement policies and procedures related to infection control
• Conduct infection control assessments and audits
• Monitor compliance with infection control policies and procedures
• Identify and investigate potential outbreaks of infection
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the facility's infection control practices are up-to-date
• Educate staff, residents, and families on infection control practices and prevention
• Maintain accurate and complete infection control records and reports
• Ensure that necessary supplies and equipment are available for infection control measures

Requirements

• Active LPN license in the state of employment
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to infection control
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems
