The American Dream Industry Engagement Reprwesentative is a field-based, client-facing sales role responsible for driving revenue through in-person relationship building, lead generation, and strategic business development. This role spends most of time off-site attending industry events, networking functions, client meetings, and community engagements to build a strong pipeline of business.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in sales, events, hospitality, or a client-facing role
  • Proven ability to generate leads and build relationships through in-person engagement
  • Strong networking skills with experience attending industry and community events
  • Ability to travel locally/regionally and work a flexible schedule (evenings/weekends as needed)
  • Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office; DocuSign a plus
  • Relationship-driven with a strong “hunter” mindset
  • Confident, professional presence in public and networking environments
  • Highly self-motivated and comfortable working independently in the field
  • Strong communication, follow-up, and organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Represent the organization in-market through client meetings, site visits, and in-person presentations
  • Build and maintain relationships with corporate, group, entertainment, and event clients
  • Conduct external presentations and coordinate site tours to drive interest and bookings
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding client needs and aligning solutions
  • Proactively identify, source, and pursue new event opportunities for the Performing Arts Center and Expo Center as well as American Dream owned attractions.
  • Attend industry events, galas, trade shows, and community events to generate qualified leads and partnerships
  • Build relationships with event planners, promoters, corporations, nonprofits, and community leaders
  • Identify opportunities across concerts, cultural events, corporate functions, and large-scale activations
  • Maintain strong visibility in key markets to position the venue as a premier destination
  • Qualify all leads and opportunities before transitioning to the appropriate Account Executive based on market, segment, or deal type
  • Ensure seamless handoff of client information, needs, and expectations to support successful conversion
  • Partner with Account Executives on strategy, proposals, and follow-up to maximize close rates
  • Maintain ownership of relationship development while supporting the full sales lifecycle
  • Track all leads, event opportunities, and client interactions within CRM
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date pipeline reporting
  • Support proposal development, pricing, and packaging in collaboration with internal teams
  • Identify upselling and cross-sell opportunities across attractions, dining, and event spaces
  • Coordinate with internal teams (operations, marketing, events) to ensure alignment and successful execution
