About the position

The Industrial Painter/Blaster position at Stand-By Personnel involves preparing, painting, and finishing metal surfaces with precision and accuracy. This role is essential in ensuring high-quality finishes on various projects, requiring both technical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders and follow instructions for each painting project
• Mix paints to achieve specific colors and prepare surfaces for painting
• Protect areas that don't require painting with masking tape and drop cloths
• Use spray guns to apply coatings such as enamel, epoxy, and lacquer
• Operate forklifts and cranes to handle materials, and keep accurate production records
• Perform abrasive blasting to prepare surfaces, ensuring all specifications are met
• Support the painting process in a fast-paced setting and work cooperatively with the team
• Use DFT measuring equipment for quality assurance

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role
• Ability to pass a Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) and wear a respirator
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and staying active throughout the shift
• High attention to detail and ability to work effectively within a team
