About The Position

Tyson's 1+2 Industrial Maintenance Training Program offers a pathway to a career as a full-time maintenance employee. Participants will earn up to $25.85 per hour plus benefits while attending Industrial Maintenance Training classes at Hawkeye Community College. No prior maintenance experience is needed, only a desire to succeed. Upon completion of the program, participants receive a $3000 bonus, paid three months after the program's completion date. Classes begin on August 24th, 2026, with orientation and date of hire required before the class start date.

Must complete orientation and date of hire prior to the class start date.

Preference given to first-time new hires.
Preference given to those with prior industrial maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

Attend classes at Hawkeye Community College 4 days a week, 6 hours a day (Monday-Thursday).
Attend one 4-hour study session on-site at Tyson.
Work one 12-hour shift in maintenance.
Complete the Industrial Maintenance Training program.
Work for Tyson for 2 years after graduating from the program.
